It’s exciting to see that the Ontario government is starting to order regulatory bodies based in the province to stop requiring Canadian work experience for immigrants seeking to get licensed in their specific professions.
Last week, Professional Engineers Ontario removed the licensing requirement of Canadian work experience. Internationally trained engineers can get licensed in Ontario without needing Canadian engineering experience but are still required to have 48 months of professional engineering experience.
